assassin secondary?
hi all. im going to get factions tomorrow and im going to start a new character as assassin. ive been reading a lot and ive found that they tend to get a real bad rap which dissapoints me cause they are the class i looked forward to the most when i got into guild wars. anyways, i want to try to avoid falling into that "noob catergory" of assassins. so what are some good secondaries for assassins and why? also, is there any benefit at all in going pure sin with no secondary? ive seen that before but dont understand it. thanks for all the help!

If you're not sure what secondary to choose, don't use one at all. You'll learn eventually. Choose a prof you haven't unlocked yet for instance. ( like A/Rt )

Pure assassins are usually the good ones. Runes, primary skills, etc.
Hard Rez, 2ndary. Removing hexes, someone else's job. Removing conditions, signet of malice, or a condition removal from a 2ndary.
Avoid being hit, avoid being hurt by death nova (and afflicted's ability upon death).
See the posts above for additional advice.

The only secondary skill I really ever mess with is an IAS from the warrior line such as Flurry or Tiger's Stance. Some people like Conjure enchants, but I tend to think that they aren't really worth taking up a skill slot on what tends to be an already crowded skill bar for an assassin. When I got the survivor title on my assassin, however, I did find Protective Spirit to come in handy to prevent huge spikes.

if you really dont know how to play i would advise you to start in in "easy class" like warrior or elementalist, before trying an assassin. play for a week or two till you get the hang of it then you should be able to play an assassin without everyone calling you a noob.

Most assassins in PvE run pure, otherwise A/W is a common combo due to the usefulness of Wild Blow.

I'd just run a pure assassin until you need a certain build. To be safe I'd go with a /w just for IAS skills and wild blow, but /Mo is also good for mending touch.
